Day 3 in Vegas: Sipping, Spinning, Strolling… and Sandstorm Survival

We kicked things off strong(ish) with a very official morning budget meeting to assess the financial situation from Day 2 (spoiler: the math is mathing). Armed with a fresh $800 gambling budget split into two highly strategic $400 rounds, we set off like true Vegas warriors… on foot. Because calling an Uber would’ve just been too easy, right?

We metro’d and marched our way to Resorts World to flirt with some new slots—and promptly dug ourselves a nice little financial hole. So we pivoted to Encore and Wynn, where we turned $100 into hours of slow-burning, elegant slot therapy (aka: a bougie timeout).

Next stop: Venetian & Palazzo, which doubled as our storm shelter when the actual desert decided to throw a sandstorm. We refueled with a late lunch/early dinner at the new Via Via Food Hall—delicious.

Then we walked the Strip back. Again. Because why Uber when you can hoof it through the wildest open-air variety show on Earth?

We thought we were calling it a night… until 11pm hit and we reloaded for round two. Cue more drinks, more spins, fewer steps, and some surprise elevator tales to close things out.

Bedtime: 3am.
Wins: a few.
Regrets: TBD.
Shoes: retired.
