It’s finally here… the start of another magical Walt Disney World adventure! In this episode, we’re taking you along for the full travel day experience as we fly from Manchester Airport direct to Orlando with Aer Lingus — and yes, the excitement levels are through the roof!

🛫 Flying with Aer Lingus from Manchester Airport
We were incredibly grateful that Aer Lingus kindly gifted our flights for this trip! Their direct flights from Manchester to Orlando are an absolute game changer for UK-based Disney fans. With a smooth check-in process, spacious cabins, and friendly service, it made the long-haul journey feel relaxing and easy. If you’re flying from the UK to Florida, Aer Lingus’ Manchester-to-Orlando route is definitely worth checking out!

💺 A Quick Stop in the 1903 Lounge
Before boarding, we treated ourselves to a bit of luxury at the 1903 Lounge at Manchester Airport. This quiet, adults-only lounge is the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle before your flight. With unlimited snacks, drinks, and comfy seating, it was the perfect way to kick off our travel day in style.

🏨 Checking in to Disney’s BoardWalk Resort 2 bed lock off villa
Once we landed in Orlando and hopped on Magical Express-style transport, we checked in to one of our bucket list resorts — Disney’s BoardWalk Inn! The charm of this resort is unmatched, with its turn-of-the-century Atlantic City vibes and beautiful views of Crescent Lake. After a quick freshen up (we were running on excitement and adrenaline at this point), we headed straight for one of our favourite Disney traditions…

🥪 Disney Springs & Our Favourite Sandwich at Earl of Sandwich
You know we couldn’t come all this way and not stop by Disney Springs for an Earl of Sandwich! And yes — we both still stand by our bold claim that the Holiday Turkey Sandwich is the best sandwich on Walt Disney World property. Roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, and mayo all tucked into warm artisan bread… It’s like Christmas dinner in every bite.

👯‍♀️ This Trip, We’re Not Alone… Meet Emily!
This adventure is extra special because we’re travelling with one of our best friends, Emily! You’ll be seeing a lot of her throughout the vlogs — and today, we take her on her first official Disney Springs mission: find the perfect MagicBand for the trip. (Spoiler alert: she finds a cute one!)

🎢 Magic Kingdom Day – Rope Drop to Fireworks!
The next morning, we’re up bright and early and heading to Magic Kingdom for an action-packed day. We arrive before rope drop to make the most of Early Entry and head straight to:

TRON Lightcycle / Run – Our first ride of the day and still one of the most thrilling coasters in the parks!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – This brand-new ride is stunning! Join Princess Tiana on a musical journey through the bayou.
Haunted Mansion – A spooky classic, and always a must-do on any Magic Kingdom day.
🍰 Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace
In the evening, we booked the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party: Seats & Sweets experience. It’s a brilliant way to secure a comfortable viewing area of the Happily Ever After fireworks — while enjoying an all-you-care-to-enjoy spread of sweet treats, cheeses, fruits, and drinks. A great way to relax and wind down after a full-on park day!
🎆 Fireworks + Disney’s BRAND NEW Starlight Parade
We grab our spot for the evening spectacular and watch the skies come alive with the stunning Happily Ever After fireworks. But the magic doesn’t stop there — because straight after the fireworks, we experience Disney’s brand-new nighttime parade: Starlight Parade! With dazzling lights, brand new floats, characters in illuminated costumes, and an unforgettable soundtrack, this parade is sure to become a fan favourite.

🌙 Back to BoardWalk to End the Night
After a full-on first park day filled with magic, thrills, and sweet treats, we head back to the BoardWalk for a well-earned rest. Watching the lights dance across the water and hearing the gentle sounds of the boardwalk at night was the perfect way to end our first day.
